Routine maintenance is important, and taking good care of your car’s parts keeps you safe behind the wheel. Maintaining your tires is especially critical, not only because it keeps you safe, but also because you can save a ton of money by helping your tires last as long as possible.

At Toyota of Newnan, we’ll do everything we can to keep your tires in the best shape possible when you schedule a Toyota tire service appointment. Here’s what our mechanics will do.

Check for Damage

One of the first things we’ll do during your service appointment is check for damage. Any obvious punctures or holes in your tires need to be fixed so you don’t end up with a flat out on the road. Suddenly getting a flat at highway speeds can lead to a dangerous situation.

Examine the Tread

We’ll also take a look at the tread on your tires. Your tread gives you the traction you need to deal with different road conditions, including unpaved dirt roads and rain-slicked highways.

If your tread is too shallow, we’ll help you find new tires. If it seems that your tires are wearing down unevenly, we’ll try to fix that as well.

Rotate Tires

We can also rotate your tires for you. During a tire rotation, we’ll take off each tire and put them in a new position on your Toyota vehicle. This can help your tires wear down at a more even rate, especially if you have a front- or rear-wheel-drive car, where two of the tires could end up doing more work in some driving situations.

Align the Wheels

A wheel alignment gives you a smoother ride and helps your tires wear down at a more even rate. If your tires wear down unevenly, you’ll have to pay to replace all four earlier than expected.
